KazNU and Penza University to exchange students

Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with a delegation of Penza State University headed by Vice Rector for International Affairs Gleb Sintsov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and confirmed the overall strategy for the further development of mutually beneficial partnership between the two universities.

In his speech, the Rector of KazNU noted the high level of economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia, stressing that both Kazakhstan and Russia demonstrate active promotion of bilateral relations. He said that a number of joint projects are being implemented within the framework of cooperation, emphasizing the importance of systematic and long-term interaction between universities, companies and scientific structures. He noted the active cooperation with leading Russian universities: partnerships have been established with 180 Russian universities and organizations, which creates a wide range of academic and scientific opportunities for student exchange, faculty and joint projects.

The head of the university focused on the successful work of the branch of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI in KazNU, which has been operating since 2022 and today provides training for 104 students in bachelor's and master's degree programs. The opening of a branch of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the basis of Omsk State University named after F.M. is also of strategic importance.Dostoevsky.

Gleb Sintsov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs of PSU, in turn, outlined the areas of cooperation, emphasizing the strategic importance of the agreement, which will give impetus to expanding international mobility of students and teachers, as well as deepening joint scientific and practical work within the framework of the priority areas of the two universities.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a partnership agreement providing for the development of joint educational programs, research projects and the exchange of experience between faculties and institutes.
