Future Publishers Visit “ALMATY KITAP” Publishing House

On October 8,  the students majoring in “Publishing” from the Faculty of Journalism at al-Farabi Kazakh National University, accompanied by their lecturer from the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, Mereke Sabyrzhanova, visited the “ALMATY KITAP” publishing house.

The students saw firsthand how a book is born — from idea and editing to printing and finally being released to the public. The staff at the publishing house shared their experiences, spoke about current trends in the book industry, and showed the internal stages of preparing a publication.
For us it is very important — to see how the real publishing work is done, to understand how professionals work,” the students said after the tour.

Such meetings inspire future specialists, help them feel the spirit of the profession, and realize that behind every book there is a great deal of work and love for the word.
