As part of activities to improve financial literacy and implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 4: Quality Education), the Department of Finance and Accounting of the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized and held a guest lecture on October 9, 2025. by Zhanar Talanova, an independent financial expert and member of the Expert Council for Improving Financial Literacy at the Russian Association of Financial Literacy (ARFMR), spoke on the topic of "Personal Budget Management."

The lecture was organized with the support of the ARFMR's special financial literacy project www.FinGramota.kz

The event was attended by second-year students from the educational programs "Management", "Public and Local Government", "Marketing", "Economics", "Logistics", as well as the faculty of the Department of Finance and Accounting.

The key goal of this event was to inform the audience about key aspects of youth financial behavior, the development of a culture of financial literacy and financial security, and the role of a personal budget as a fundamental element of any citizen's personal finances.

In her speech, the speaker focused on the principles and tools for forming a family budget, the gradual creation of a financial safety net, and investing in one's future (housing, pension provision).

The guest lecture provided practical advice on managing personal finances, family budgets, and financial security.

The guest lecture generated great interest among students and faculty, and afterward, everyone was able to ask the speaker questions.
