SDG №3, 4, 10: Inclusive Initiative Unites University and Civil Society in Friendly Competition

On October 11, a joint inclusive sports and cultural event was held in Almaty, organized by the local branch of the Public Association "Kazakh Society of the Blind" and the Inclusive Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The main goal of the event was to promote the social integration of people with disabilities, develop an inclusive culture, and draw public attention to issues of accessibility and equal opportunities. As part of the program, friendly competitions were held in the national intellectual game Toguz Kumalak, as well as in chess and checkers.
A special atmosphere of support and unity was created by the students of KazNU, who not only took part in the competitions, but also actively engaged with the participants, demonstrating a high level of empathy and mutual respect. In addition, a cultural program was presented, featuring concert performances prepared by students and visually impaired participants.
Such events not only contribute to the development of an inclusive society, but also serve as an important step towards building a tolerant and open community where every individual feels valued and included. Participants noted that these kinds of meetings help not only to strengthen intellectual skills and sporting spirit, but also open up new opportunities for communication, mutual understanding, and personal growth. For many, it was their first experience in an inclusive format, which helped to break down stereotypes and build warm, trusting connections between people with diverse life experiences.
