Meeting with the Delegation of the Shandong Provincial Audit Bureau (PRC) at Al-Farabi KazNU

On October 13, 2025, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a meeting with the delegation of the Audit Bureau of Shandong Province, People’s Republic of China.

The delegation was headed by Mr. Li Xia, Deputy Director General of the Shandong Provincial Audit Bureau, and included five representatives of the institution. The purpose of the visit was to study the formulation and implementation of national auditing standards in Kazakhstan, discuss mechanisms for ensuring the quality of public auditing, and explore prospects for cooperation in the field of big data analysis.

On behalf of the university, the meeting was chaired by Zh.Zh. Ermekova, Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business. The participants from the school included:
    •    D.B. Kanagatova – Deputy Dean for Science, Innovation, and International Relations;
    •    D.A. Sadykhanova – Deputy Dean for Academic and Educational Work;
    •    G.R. Daulieva – Head of the Department of Economics;
    •    R.B. Sartova – Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting;
    •    Z.B. Akhmetova – Head of the Department of Business Technologies;
    •    G.S. Smagulova – Head of the Department of Management.

During the discussions, the parties addressed opportunities for implementing joint research projects and organizing internships in the field of public and digital auditing. Particular attention was given to the prospects for applying artificial intelligence and big data technologies in public financial control and auditing procedures.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Shandong Province, as well as in further developing scientific and professional ties in the field of public auditing and digitalization of accounting and control processes.
