At the Department of Chinese Studies, a round table was held in honor of Republic Day on the topic “National Identity and Sovereignty in the Era of Globalization”

On October 15 at 17:00, the Department of Chinese Studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a roundtable discussion titled “National Identity and Sovereignty in the Era of Globalization.”
The event was moderated by PhD DR. Nurzhan Saparbayeva. First- and second-year PhD students participated in the discussion, sharing their perspectives on preserving national identity in the context of globalization, strengthening linguistic and cultural unity, and reflecting on the role of national values in modern society.
During the meeting, participants exchanged opinions on the scientific and spiritual foundations of preserving national identity. The discussion also highlighted the importance of cultural and ideological directions that determine the future of an independent nation.
At the conclusion of the event, the PhD students emphasized the relevance of such topics for young researchers and expressed confidence in the continuation of scholarly studies aimed at preserving national identity in the era of globalization.
