«Folk Heritage – the Wealth of the People»

In honor of the 120th anniversary of Akhmet Zhubanov’s birth, the Department of Economics of the Higher School of Economics and Business at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a curatorial hour titled “Folk Heritage – the Wealth of the People.”

During the event, students learned about the life and creative work of the prominent figure of Kazakh musical art, composer, and academician Akhmet Zhubanov. They delivered meaningful presentations highlighting his great contribution to the development of national culture and the foundation of Kazakh orchestral music.

The event supported the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) No. 4 “Quality Education” and No. 11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities”. The curatorial hour served as a spiritually enriching event that fostered respect for national art and love for cultural heritage among the youth.
