A working meeting on improving ranking indicators was held at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Science

On October 15, 2025, a working meeting with faculty and staff members was held at the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. It was moderated by Vasilina Gulzira Kazhmuratovna, Director of the Center for Strategic Development.

During the meeting, current issues related to the university's participation in international academic rankings and improving relevant indicators were discussed. Particular attention was paid to methodologies and the correct data entry for QS by Subject, QS World University Rankings (QS WUR), and The Times Higher Education.

Vasilina Gulzira Kazhmuratovna provided detailed explanations of the key evaluation criteria and international requirements affecting the university's ranking. Specific steps and recommendations for improving KazNU's standing at the faculty level were also proposed.

At the end of the meeting, participants received answers to their questions and practical advice on participating in ranking processes.
