From October 14 to 17, 2025, Dr. Nurat Ilyas, PhD, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Turkish Studies and History of the East, Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, participated in the international symposium “In Search of Stability in the Black Sea and Caspian Sea Region”, organized by Istanbul University of Development.
The symposium brought together scholars, experts, and analysts from various countries, as well as representatives from academic and diplomatic communities. Discussions focused on key issues such as sustainable development, geopolitical stability, and interregional cooperation.
In his presentation, Dr. Ilyas highlighted the historical ties between the Turkic peoples of the region and emphasized the importance of cultural and humanitarian dialogue in promoting peace and stability. His contribution received a positive response from the international academic community.
As part of his working visit, Dr. Ilyas visited a number of leading academic and research institutions in Türkiye, including the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA), Istanbul University, and the Institute of Oriental Studies. During these visits, he held discussions on academic exchange programs, collaborative research initiatives, and joint publications.

It is worth noting that Dr. Nurat Ilyas plays an active role in the international academic arena, regularly representing Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at prestigious symposiums, forums, and conferences.
