The event devoted to SDG 5 “Gender Equality”

On October 16, 2025, from 15:00 to 15:50, the first-year PhD students Isak Aru and Sabirova Gauhar held a meeting with the first-year students majoring in “DİYA.” The event was dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goal 5 — “Gender Equality.” The main purpose of the meeting was to promote awareness among young people about equal rights for men and women, to foster gender culture, and to strengthen the principles of justice and mutual respect in society. During the session, the doctoral students spoke about the United Nations’ international initiatives, discussed the role of women in social and professional life, and examined how equal opportunities contribute to the development of society. The participants noted that gender equality is not only a legal concept but also a moral and cultural value.
Special attention was given to the topic of women’s leadership, education, and their contribution to social progress. “Gender equality is not a struggle between men and women, but a path toward a fair and harmonious society,”. The meeting was held in an interactive format — students actively took part in discussions, shared personal experiences, and expressed their opinions. In conclusion, participants highlighted the importance of developing a conscious attitude toward equality and social justice.
Events like this play an essential role in shaping civic responsibility, fostering humanistic values, and emphasizing the importance of education in achieving the goals of sustainable development.
