Attending the Play “Zhusan Isi” (UN SDG No.11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities)
The play “Zhusan Isi,” based on Gabit Musrepov’s work, depicts the hardships of post-war life, compassion, and the enduring human spirit. It highlights the importance of preserving cultural values, traditions, and the Kazakh language as a source of identity and unity.
Cultural events like this strengthen students’ appreciation for art and theatre, which play a vital role in maintaining the cultural sustainability of cities. The theatre serves as a living institution that preserves national traditions and connects generations through shared heritage.
This activity aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal No.11 – “Sustainable Cities and Communities,” as it promotes the preservation of cultural heritage, development of arts and cultural infrastructure, and strengthening of social cohesion within urban communities.
