SDG 11. "Museum Treasure: The Art of the Past and Present"

In October 2025, within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG-11), the Faculty of Pre-University Education of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized an educational excursion to the Almaty Museum of Art under the title "Museum Treasure: The Art of the Past and Present."

The event was attended by students and curators of the Department of Pre-University Training.

During the excursion, the participants:

• Got acquainted with the visual arts and applied artifacts of ancient civilizations;
• Received information about contemporary artistic trends and their role in society;
• Witnessed a cultural dialogue between the past and the present through visual art;
• Appreciated the richness of Kazakhstan’s artistic heritage.

Objectives of the event:

• Within the framework of SDG-11 – to preserve cultural heritage and promote accessible and inclusive cultural spaces;
• To shape students’ historical awareness and perception of contemporary art;
• To contribute to the spiritual development of youth through the continuity of art and culture.

This educational excursion served as an important event in the direction of sustainable cultural development and the preservation of historical heritage.

The activity contributed to the implementation of the tasks of SDG-11, such as increasing the inclusiveness of urban cultural institutions, and fostering public awareness and cultural continuity.
