SDG 4. «How to Create a Safe Educational Environment?»

On October 9, 2025, within the framework of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), the Department of Pre-University Training of the Faculty of Pre-University Education at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a curatorial educational hour on the topic: «How to Create a Safe Educational Environment?»

Under the guidance of curator-advisors, the department's students received both theoretical and practical knowledge on the following topics:

• Rules of conduct inside and outside buildings during an earthquake;
• Initial actions in case of fire and evacuation routes;
• Proper response to emergency alarms and how to act calmly;
• Mutual assistance and the development of a sense of responsibility.

This event became an effective educational initiative aimed at raising awareness of the importance of creating a safe educational environment, teaching proper actions in emergency situations, and developing essential safety skills for everyday life.

The event made a tangible contribution to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals SDG 4 and SDG 11, by ensuring quality education and promoting the creation of a safe and resilient environment.

Event Goals:

• SDG 4 (Quality Education): To increase students' awareness of safety issues and equip them with essential life skills;
• SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities): To develop a culture of safety, prepare students for emergency situations, and contribute to creating a secure environment within the educational institution.
