Youth and the Spirit of an Independent Nation

On October 23, 2025 the Faculty of Philology held a festive event dedicated to the national holiday Republic Day, entitled “Youth and the Spirit of an Independent Nation”. The event was organized by curator-advisers of the specialties “6B02304 Translation Studies (Western Languages)”,6B02303 Foreign Philology (Western Languages)” and doctoral students of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies. It was aimed at fostering students’ patriotic spirit, developing a sense of pride for their country, and understanding the importance of Kazakhstan’s independence.

The program included the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a historical overview of the formation of the independent state, as well as engaging activities designed to develop patriotic thinking and teamwork.

The first task was the quiz “My Kazakhstan”, where students demonstrated their knowledge of the country’s history, geography, culture, and sighseeings.
Then participants took part in the team game “Drawing with Threads”, creating thematic artworks symbolizing the spirit of independence and unity.
A significant moment of the program was the interactive game “Associations”, which allowed participants to express their thoughts and feelings about their homeland through symbolic images and key words.

The narrators put accent on emphasizing the importance of friendship and harmony among the peoples of Kazakhstan during the event, noting that our country is a common home where representatives of different nationalities live in peace, mutual understanding, and love for their native land.

Finally, active participants and winners were awarded by certificates and gifts with national symbols.
            The event took place in an atmosphere of patriotism, pride, and inspiration, leaving bright impressions on all who attended.
