Within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, on October 23, 2025, the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a festive event organized by the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries, dedicated to the Republic Day — October 25. The event was conducted in the format of a round table, with active participation from the department’s faculty members and 3rd- and 4th-year students.

The main purpose of the event was to promote the statehood of the Republic of Kazakhstan, deepen the understanding of the importance of independence and sovereignty, and foster patriotism and civic spirit among young people.

During the program, students presented an informative presentation titled “Leaders of National Revival in Kazakhstan and Turkey,” in which they discussed in detail the historical connections and shared values between the two countries. In addition, a video titled “Friendship between Kazakhstan and Turkey” was shown, illustrating vivid examples of brotherly relations, cooperation, and cultural ties between the nations.

As part of the event, students performed a poetic composition titled “About the Motherland,” expressing their love for the homeland through artistic expression. Furthermore, an educational quiz dedicated to Republic Day was held, where participants tested their knowledge and actively answered engaging questions.

At the end of the celebration, all participants joined together to sing “Kök tudyñ jelbiregeni” (“The Blue Flag Waves”), adding a spirit of unity and joy to the atmosphere. The event was held at a high level and made a significant contribution to strengthening students’ appreciation of independence while promoting the values of statehood and national unity.
