Awarded to scientists who have published articles in the Scopus database

On the eve of Republic Day, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the KazNU Alumni Association Kairat Mami met with young scientists whose scientific articles were published in the Scopus database.

Among them are Marzhan Sultangazina, who published 28 articles in the Scopus database, Sayat Orynbasar, who published 14 articles, Aynur Kapparova, the author of 13 articles, Almat Akhmetali, 9 articles, Askhat Bolatbek, 8 articles, Eskendik Ashimov and Sayera Ibraimova, 7 articles, and others.

During the event, Zhanseit Tuimebayev spoke about the strategic initiatives of the university aimed at developing research activities, noting that the support of young scientists is one of the main priorities of KazNU. The Rector emphasized the importance of articles published in such reputable databases as Scopus and Web of Science in increasing the international prestige of Kazakh science.

In addition, the head of the educational institution instructed the responsible specialists about the employment of doctoral students at the university, whose articles were published in the Scopus journal.

In turn, Kairat Mami called on young scientists to boldly develop new ideas and research areas, stressing that the University's Alumni Association is always ready to support the younger generation.

At the meeting, undergraduates and doctoral students were awarded the Farabi Medal and a letter of thanks from the rector.
