On the eve of Republic Day, KazNU scientists became owners of new apartments

On the eve of Republic Day, senior teachers of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Symbat Sagyndykova and Ainur Yermekbayeva, became owners of new apartments in Almaty.

Certificates for apartments issued as part of the instruction of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev were presented by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek.

The Minister congratulated the participants of the award ceremony on Republic Day and noted the important initiatives being implemented in the country's science and higher education system in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State.

Symbat Sagyndykova has been working at the History Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University since 2017. He is the author of numerous scientific articles and monographs. In 2021-2023, as part of the Ayagoz archaeological expedition, she participated in the opening of 107 new burial grounds. This year, as part of the Zaisan archaeological expedition, she took part in the study of medieval towns located in Kazanshunkur. As a result, three previously unknown towns from the Turkic period were discovered and excavated.

Ainur Ermekbayeva started her career at KazGU in 2017.  The young scientist makes a significant contribution to the improvement and further development of the theoretical and methodological foundations of the national ethnographic science and museology of Kazakhstan. She is the author of several scientific papers, including a scientific article in a journal included in the highly indexed Scopus database. The young scientist is a participant in a scientific project, a scholarship holder at the Public Institute of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, and has completed a scientific internship at foreign scientific institutes and universities.
