Republic Day: A Symbol of Unity and Harmony

On October 25th, first-year students of the "6В03205 – Library Information Systems" educational program at the Faculty of History, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, held a round table dedicated to Republic Day on the topic: "Republic Day: Symbol of Unity and Consensus".

Objective: To explain the historical and spiritual significance of Republic Day, to foster love for the Motherland, patriotism, and a sense of civic responsibility, and to promote the values of friendship, mutual respect, and harmony among the people of Kazakhstan. These values are in complete alignment with the principles of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as stability and development can only be achieved through unity and consensus.

During the event, Senior Lecturer of the Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies, and group advisor, Bayan Suleimenovna Assanova, clarified the meaning and significance of October 25th – Republic Day. Within the framework of the round table, students shared their views on the crucial values for the country's future: peace, unity, national consensus, and patriotism. These concepts are not just words but the foundation and pillar of independent Kazakhstan.

Republic Day is a historical day when the country's new political direction was defined and the path to democratic development was embraced. It is a symbol of common pride and responsibility for all Kazakhstanis.
