On October 24, 2025, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goal "Quality Education," an event on the topic: "Republic Day" was held. October 25 marks Republic Day in Kazakhstan. It was organized by first-year students majoring in "Industrial Electronics and Control Systems" under the guidance of senior lecturer L.A. Tursalieva. Republic Day was declared a national holiday in October 1995 and has not been celebrated since 2009.
"Republic Day should become a symbol of the country's bold step toward statehood. Naturally, the original meaning of Independence Day will be preserved. This day remains the main national holiday.
The history of the holiday began on October 25, 1990, when the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR adopted the Declaration of State Sovereignty. This document, for the first time, proclaimed Kazakhstan's right to independently determine the political, economic, and cultural foundations of its statehood.
