Artificial Intelligence: Assistant or Threat?

The Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a discussion on the pressing topic — “Artificial Intelligence: Assistant or Threat?”
Students actively shared their views on the role of AI in modern society, exploring its benefits, opportunities, and potential risks.

The event was organized by lecturers of the Department of Thermophysics and Technical Physics — Ardak Maksutkhanova and Marzhan Tajenova.

The discussion aimed to foster students’ critical thinking, raise awareness of ethical and technological aspects of AI, and promote digital literacy and responsible innovation.

This initiative aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 4 — “Quality Education” and No. 9 — “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”.
