Implementation of joint AI projects with China

The delegation of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University headed by Vice-Rector for Social Development Bakhytzhan Omarov and Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Zhuldyz Sairambayeva took part in the international conference on exchange and mutual learning in the field of legal culture "China – Central Asia".

The event was held in Urumqi, China, and was organized by the Chinese University of Political Science and Law.

The visit of the KazNU delegation turned out to be intense and productive. During the trip, a meeting was held with the president of the Chinese University of Political Science and Law, Ma Huaide, at which the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation, as well as details of the creation of a joint center for artificial Intelligence and the rule of law.

Vice Rector Bakhytzhan Omarov delivered a welcoming speech at the plenary session of the conference and took part in two significant ceremonies:

   establishment of the China–Central Asia Legal Education Alliance, aimed at developing academic exchange and improving the quality of legal education in the region;

   creation of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and the Rule of Law, implemented in partnership between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Chinese University of Political Science and Law.

It is expected that the new center will become an important scientific platform for joint research, the introduction of innovative approaches in the field of digital technologies and law, as well as strengthening international cooperation between universities of Kazakhstan and China. There are high hopes for it as a key tool for integrating science, education and modern technologies in the era of digitalization.

The visit of the KazNU delegation to Urumqi was a significant step in strengthening scientific, educational and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and China, opening up new prospects for partnership in the field of law, innovation and human capital development.
