The Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies was awarded the “Qurmet” Orden.

On the eve of the national holiday – Republic Day – by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a number of citizens who have made significant contributions to the country’s socio-economic, cultural, and spiritual development, as well as to strengthening friendship and cooperation among peoples and who have been active in public life, were awarded state decorations.
Among them is Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Chinese Studies, and Director of the “Center for Contemporary Chinese Studies,” Nabyzhan Mukhametkhanuly.
The team of the Faculty of Oriental Studies sincerely congratulates the sinologist and scholar Nabyzhan Mukhametkhanuly, who, through his honest work, steadfast character, and God-given talent devoted to the benefit of the nation, has carried the legacy of his ancestors, become a respected teacher to his students, and earned the admiration of his colleagues!
