The event was organized by the XUAR People's Government, Xinjiang University and the Faculty of Physical Science and Technology. The symposium was a logical continuation of the agreements reached at the China–Central Asia Summit and the third Belt and Road International Cooperation Forum aimed at strengthening bilateral and multilateral ties in the fields of science, education and technology.

From Kazakhstan, representatives of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, as well as delegations from Samarkand State University and the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan took part in the event. During the opening ceremony of the conference, welcoming remarks were made by representatives of the People's Government of the XUAR and the leadership of leading universities in Central Asia. The program included plenary sessions and thematic sections on the development of partnership between universities and industrial enterprises in the field of energy, the implementation of joint research projects, academic exchange of teachers and students, as well as the improvement of educational programs in the fields of physics, energy and nuclear engineering.

A symposium on international cooperation in the energy sector was held at the School of Physical Science and Technology of Xinjiang University. During the event, scientists from Kazakhstan, China and Uzbekistan presented reports and discussed the prospects for creating joint laboratories and scientific consortia.

This trip not only strengthened the university's position in the international scientific arena, but also opened up new prospects for the implementation of joint scientific and educational initiatives within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative.
