Seminar on the Discussion of Selected Chapters of the Textbook with Central Asian Universities within the Framework of the Regional Project “Water Resources Management Considering Climate Impact in Central Asia

From October 20-24, 2025, a seminar on the discussion of selected chapters of the textbook was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, as part of the regional project “Water Resources Management Considering Climate Impact in Central Asia”.

Professor K.K. Duskayev from the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology took part in the event.

The regional project, launched in 2023, is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) with co-financing from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The main objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of national and regional institutions responsible for water resources management to implement coordinated approaches that consider climate impacts at both regional and national levels.

The seminar was attended by representatives of universities from Central Asia and Germany, as well as the GIZ regional project team and CAREC trainers.
