SDG No. 4: “BIZ” Student Theater Opens a New Creative Season

The “BIZ” Student Theater, which holds a special place in the cultural life of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, has successfully launched its new creative season. Bringing together talented and passionate young people, the theater contributes significantly to developing students’ artistic potential and fostering stage culture within the university community.

The core mission of the theater is to inspire society through unity and art, to provide audiences with spiritual enrichment, and to nurture kindness, creativity, and diligence among youth. “BIZ” is more than a creative platform — it is a true school of life, where each student learns to express ideas and emotions through the language of theater.

On October 21–22, the theater held auditions to recruit new members. Over two days, the entire troupe took an active part, demonstrating strong teamwork and unity. During the audition, participants were evaluated for acting skills, stage presence, and creative thinking. Students who showed exceptional talent and genuine passion for theater were selected to join the new ensemble.

Due to the high level of interest and enthusiasm among students, the auditions were extended for an additional day at the participants’ request — a clear sign of growing engagement with theatrical art among the university’s youth.

At present, the theater troupe is preparing the repertoire for the new season, with plans to stage both new productions and beloved performances that have already won the hearts of audiences.
