Exchange of experience with French universities

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held talks with Consul General of France in Kazakhstan Maxime Gerenger.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev stressed that KazNU pays special attention to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with French universities. The Rector wished success in the work of the newly elected consul and voiced a number of proposals.

"The partnership between KazNU and French universities is reaching a new level. Nevertheless, it is necessary to establish cooperation with other French universities. In addition, the Al-Farabi library operates on the basis of KazNU. There are more than 2 million books, including those devoted to the history of France, poets and writers. This circumstance opens up great opportunities for conducting research. I also suggest that in the future, together with KazNU and the consulate, we hold joint conferences, meetings, and lectures", - said the rector.

Maxime Gerenger, in turn, thanked for the attention and expressed his support for all the initiatives announced. The Consul expressed confidence that today's negotiations will lay a solid foundation for expanding the partnership between KazNU and French universities.
