Collaboration with France in Mathematics
Recently, Zh.M. Bektemesov, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, and the faculty of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling met with Professor Frédéric Richard of the University of Poitiers (France) to discuss the launch of a joint dual-degree master's program in "Applied and Computational Mathematics." The professor noted the high interest of his French colleagues in developing collaboration in the field of mathematical sciences. During the conversation, it was emphasized that the modern world is experiencing rapid technological advances, particularly in artificial intelligence. In this context, the need for specialists with deep mathematical methods and programming skills is becoming increasingly urgent.
The new program aims to train specialists capable of solving complex computational problems and developing innovative algorithms. Graduates will be able to apply their acquired knowledge in engineering, IT, economics, and scientific research. The professor emphasized that the program is focused on international training standards. At the end of the meeting, both parties noted the project's significance and expressed hope for a successful launch of the program in the near future.
