Al-Farabi Kazakh National University continues its tradition of honoring the great ancestor. As part of the Farabi Week, an inspiring meeting took place at the Faculty of Pre-University Education between students and Kanat Muratbekuly, a member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan. This event served as a vivid example of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal No. 4, emphasizing the importance of quality education and profound enlightenment.

Kanat Muratbekuly, Scientific Secretary of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a member of the Union of Writers, spoke to the audience about the life and invaluable legacy of Abu Nasr al-Farabi, recognized globally as the "Second Teacher" (Al-Mu'allim al-Thani). The speaker elaborated on al-Farabi's contribution to world science, philosophy, and culture, stressing that his ideas remain relevant to this day. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of conscious implementation of knowledge and the enlightenment of youth. Kanat Muratbekuly is convinced that every student of the university bearing this great name must know and honor their patron.

The students learned about the major figures who made al-Farabi's legacy accessible to our generation, specifically Mashanov Akzhan Zhaksybekuly, who brought over 95% of the information about the great thinker to our country. This underscores the indissoluble link between history, science, and national pride. Concluding his speech, Kanat Muratbekuly summarized the entire meeting with a beautiful and metaphorical expression that deeply resonated with the audience: "The legacy of al-Farabi is a boundless, inexhaustible ocean of wisdom. We, modern people, continue to draw the light of knowledge from it and utilize its profound truths to this day." This phrase became a symbol of the eternal source of wisdom and a call to the youth to continuously draw inspiration and knowledge from it.
