"The Pinnacle of Poetry is Wisdom" Scientific Seminar

Within the framework of SDG 4 "Quality education"  associate professors of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory of the Faculty of Philology S. A. Kalkabayeva and R. M. Abdikulova held a demantrative  scientific seminar  on the topic: "Poetry is the pinnacle of wisdom" for the  2nd year students majoring in  "Kazakh Philology". The seminar aim was to   introduce  the students  theoretically and practically   to the structural and the  poetic nature of Kazakh poetry.  Aslo it aimed at developing their understanding of the issue mentioned above. The lecturers  of the department provided extensive information about the structure of versification and genre varieties of Kazakh versification. Famous poets Alibek Shegebai and Bekzhan Ashirbayev were specially invited to the seminar to demonstrate the uniqueness of the art of poetry and the process of modern poetry modification. Their participation, exchange of opinions with students about the art of poetry and reading their own poems increased the students' interest. The students also shared their thoughts and had instructive dialogues about poetry. They  read their poems, demonstrating their interest and desire for poetic creativity. Obviously, the seminar, rich in both scientific and literary and poetic knowledgecontributed to broadening  the students' worldview.
