The 31st International Conference of the Asian Media Information and Communication Center (AMIC) on the topic "Digital Transformation of Navigation in Media, Public Relations and Advertising" was held at the Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University in Mumbai (India), which brought together leading researchers, journalists from all over the Asian region. The AMIC includes: 16 institutional members, 39 representatives from 29 countries, including 3 representatives from Kazakhstan. 629 abstracts and 220 scientific articles were sent to this conference, which were reflected in 17 parallel sections. The Kazakh delegation was represented by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Professor S.Barlybayeva, Associate Professor K.Mysaeva and doctoral student D.Azimzhanov.

The conference was attended by media researchers, teachers, experts in the field of journalism and mass communication from the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China, Japan, Vietnam, India, Myanmar and other Asian countries, who spoke about current trends in the media of their countries, about the specifics of journalism education in the field, about the specifics of information culture. a region that is rich in its traditions and the specifics of the media landscape.

Every year, AMIC awards the best academic, researcher, and journalist for outstanding contributions to media and journalism, and to media education in Asia through publications, research, and institution-building. Karlyga Mysayeva was awarded this high award as the best in 2025. We sincerely congratulate her! For the first time, this honorary title was won by a representative from Central Asia, from Kazakhstan, from the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. There are new plans, projects, and conferences ahead that will promote further cooperation and consolidation of scientists from Kazakhstan, Central Asia, the Asia-Pacific region, and Southeast Asia.
