Sport and Integrity: A "Clean Football" Tournament Held at KazNU
On November 9, 2025, the "Clean Football" tournament, organized in honor of "December 9 — International Anti-Corruption Day," concluded at the Faculty of History of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU). This tournament, held as part of Sports Event No. 17 of the university's Sustainable Development Goals, was jointly organized by the Faculty and the Almaty city branch of the Republican Public Association (RPA) "National Anti-Corruption Movement "ZHAŃARU".
The main feature of the tournament was its socially significant mission. Aside from the sports competition, the primary focus was on enhancing legal literacy and strengthening an anti-corruption culture among the participants.

At the initiative of the RPA "National Anti-Corruption Movement "ZHAŃARU" a specially prepared survey was conducted among students before the tournament, along with educational work on the harm of corruption to society and ways to counteract it.
A total of 8 teams participated in the competition, including student teams from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years of the History Faculty, and a team of faculty members.
After intense matches, the top three were determined as follows:

I Place: The "Әл-Фараби" team.

II Place: The "Er Turan" team.

III Place: The "HistBöri" team.
At the solemn awards ceremony, Professor Dzhaparov Boris Alikenovich, the Director of the Almaty city branch of the RPA "ZHAŃARU", delivered a speech. He expressed gratitude to all participating students and faculty members and emphasized the importance of legal literacy and the fight against corruption.

The captain of the winning team, 4th-year student Rakhmetov Ilyas, thanked the organizers and spoke as a graduating student. He called upon all participating students to live without corruption and to make the non-tolerance of corruption their principal stance.
The "Clean Football" tournament not only fostered a love for sports among youth but also became an effective platform for promoting such vital values as honesty and responsibility.
