The Faculty of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in a ceremonial event marking the 80th anniversary of the prominent scientist, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, and distinguished alumnus of the faculty, Anatoly Ivanovich Kupchishin.

The event was held at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (86 Tole Bi Avenue).

The faculty was represented by:
N.A. Beisen, Dean of the Faculty;
S.L. Peshaya, Vice Dean for Scientific Innovation and International Relations;
G.Sh. Yar-Mukhammedova, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor.

In their congratulatory remarks, representatives of KazNU emphasized that the name of Anatoly Ivanovich is deeply connected with the history and development of the Faculty of Physics and Technology and the university’s scientific school.

The celebrant remarkably embodies the qualities of an outstanding scholar, educator, and mentor, as well as a person of high spiritual culture — a poet, musician, athlete, and a multifaceted, inspiring personality. His contributions to science, education, and the training of young researchers constitute an important part of the development of physics and technical sciences in Kazakhstan.

The faculty collectively wished Anatoly Ivanovich strong health, creative energy, family well-being, and further scientific achievements for the benefit of science, education, and future generations.

We take great pride in the fact that Anatoly Ivanovich Kupchishin is our alumnus, a mentor to young people, and a guiding example for future generations of researchers.
