The rector met with a scientist from the USA

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Maya Mitalipova, Director of the Stem Cell Laboratory at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research (USA).

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of scientific cooperation in the field of biomedicine and genetics. The possibilities of implementing joint research projects between KazNU and the Whitehead Institute, practical application of research results, as well as expansion of academic mobility of young scientists and students were also considered.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted that the implementation of joint projects with leading foreign scientific centers contributes to strengthening the international authority of KazNU and bringing domestic science to a new level.

In turn, Professor Maya Mitalipova highly appreciated the scientific potential of the university and expressed her willingness to implement joint innovative projects with KazNU scientists in the field of genetics and biomedicine.
