"How can we solve the problem of global hunger ?"
On November 20, 2025, D.M. Makhmetova, Senior Lecturer from the Department of Foreign Languages, and the first-year students from the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering held an event on the topic: "How can we solve the problem of global hunger ?" within the framework of SDG 3: Zero Hunger. For this event, the students divided into groups and prepared engaging reports in English, accompanied by vibrant and colorful presentations. Each group made their proposals how to solve the problem of global hunger. To prepare their reports, the students used materials from well-known international media.
The students studying at foreign universities also participated in this event:
1. Bagzhan Weisbeck (Yonsei University, South Korea);
2. Sabrina Bakytnurkyzy (Xiamen University, Indonesia);
3. Nataliya Sebeleva (Saint Petersburg State University, Faculty of Medicine, Russia);
4. Viktoria Sitnikova (Saint Petersburg State University, Faculty of Medicine, Russia);
5.Nikita Savitskiy (Tomsk Polytechnic University, Russia).
During the event, the participants had the opportunity to demonstrate their English language skills and used the grammar and vocabulary material covered by in the English lessons.
