“National Currency Day”

         November 15 is the Day of the National Currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Tenge.This date is considered one of the key milestones in the country’s economic independence. On this day in 1993, Kazakhstan introduced its own national currency, making a significant step towards establishing the financial system of a sovereign state.

         Today, the tenge is a national symbol that holds a special place in the socio-economic life of the country and continues to develop in line with modern demands. Its stability is a clear indicator of the nation’s prosperity, the unity of the people, and the peaceful life within our country.

         To mark the «National Currency Day», within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, Direction “4. Quality Education,” on 14.11.2025 at 12:00, first-year students of the specialty “6B02205–History” of the Faculty of History, under the guidance of their curator Aknur Orazgaliqyzy, held a roundtable discussion and interviewed lecturers of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

         The conversation was not limited to the interview questions only: first-year students gained essential information about the significance of this day, shared their opinions, and presented their prepared reports. The meeting also helped students become better acquainted with the university’s scholars and professors.

The event concluded with warm words and good wishes from the faculty members.

         Happy National Tenge Day! We wish prosperity and harmony to every home! May our country’s economy continue to grow, and may the value and prestige of our national currency rise ever higher!
