Scientific Seminar for Early-Career Researchers of the Faculty of Oriental Studies “Common Errors in Writing and Formatting a Dissertation.”
On 10 November 2025 at 14:00, in Lecture Hall 546, a scientific seminar was conducted by Botagoz Myrzabaykyzy Suyerkul, Doctor of Philological Sciences and Research Associate–Associate Professor of the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries, on the topic “Common Errors in Writing and Formatting a Dissertation.”
During the seminar, doctoral students were provided with a comprehensive explanation of the common mistakes encountered in the process of writing and formatting a dissertation, as well as strategies for preventing them. In addition, important issues such as the development of research and analytical competencies, effective time management, establishing proper communication with academic supervisors, defending the dissertation within the prescribed timeframe, adherence to principles of openness and academic integrity, and achieving personal and professional growth within society were discussed.
The scientific seminar enabled doctoral students to obtain practical and strategic information essential for enhancing the effectiveness of their scholarly activities and ensuring their professional advancement.
