How will civilization develop in the age of AI?
As you know, a lecture was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University by a well-known scientist, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, leading researcher at the Institute of mathematical research of complex systems of Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov, professor Askar Akayev. The professor gave a leadership lecture on the topic" human development in the age of AI", which is based on a meaningful and deep thought.
During the meeting, the scientist widely discussed the global trends of our time, the development of artificial intelligence and its impact on the life of society. He noted that in the digital age, the role of Science and education, innovation and human capital is special. According to the professor, artificial intelligence is radically changing not only economic systems, but also culture and social relations. He shared his scientific views on demographic changes and the future of human evolution. "What will be the consequences of the interaction, action between man and AI? the professor's answer to the question: "AI can be both the greatest assistant of a person and the greatest headache. Automation of everyday tasks with the help of artificial intelligence allows us to focus on complex and creative tasks and expand our free time. If artificial intelligence becomes not a competitor, but a means of strengthening human cognitive abilities, then a new era of Cultural Revolution may appear. On the other hand, dependence on artificial intelligence can lead to a decrease in human independence and creativity, and the widespread use of artificial intelligence assistants can lead to a sharp decrease in human intelligence and loss of analytical skills. Artificial intelligence can turn people into dolls, manipulate their opinions and lobby for corporate interests." However, the professor's idea was: "a complementary symbiosis is being created between Man and artificial intelligence instead of competing with each other. At the same time, a person must remain a leader in this symbiosis, direct the power of artificial intelligence to serve the well-being of humanity. The evolution of civilization will follow a high, progressive trajectory".

Askar Akayev called on young people to boldly present new ideas, actively participate in scientific research and contribute to the development of mankind. The scientist's lecture aroused great interest and deep thought among the audience. At the end of the lecture, students and teachers asked their questions and discussed the opinions of the professor. The staff of the Department of mathematical and computer modeling showed great interest in the ideas raised at the lecture and noted the possibility of joint research projects in the future. The participants appreciated this meeting as a special event in the scientific and intellectual life of kaznu.
