A solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of Farabi International Business School was held at al-Farabi Kazakh National University. This year, more than 200 undergraduates and 17 doctoral students received diplomas, which was the largest graduation in the history of the business school. The diplomas were presented to the graduates by Acting Board Member – Vice Rector for Social Development of KazNU Bakytzhan Omarov.

Among the graduates are representatives of large and medium-sized businesses, company executives, business owners, as well as public sector employees – including district akims, representatives of quasi-governmental organizations, and deputies of regional maslikhats. This diversity of professional trajectories confirms the high level of trust in the educational programs of Farabi International Business School.

The business school continues to strengthen its position in the national and international educational landscape. The school’s director, Zharaskan Saryev, noted a significant increase in student enrollment, the development of DBA programs, rebranding efforts, obtaining international ACQUIN accreditation, and participation in the QS MBA Ranking. According to him, these achievements contribute to reinforcing the school’s status and enhancing the value of diplomas for all graduates. Over the course of the year, the business school expanded international cooperation by organizing lectures for graduates of a leading business school in China and master’s students from Indian universities, as well as initiating activities at KazNU branches in Bishkek, Istanbul, and Omsk, and launching a new program in Tashkent.

Program directors of EMBA and DBA, Saule Kupeshova and Alfiya Abinova, emphasized the personalized approach to students and the high quality of research projects carried out by the students.

As part of the ceremony, Akylbay Arystanbek – a graduate of KazNU, universities in China and the United Kingdom, and a visiting researcher at the Lee Kuan Yew School and Harvard – delivered a speech. He noted that graduates’ success largely depends on the professional environment cultivated during their studies, and encouraged them to maintain connections, strengthen collaboration, and confidently achieve their goals.

Graduates also shared professional changes they experienced as a result of their education. Representatives from business, educational institutions, and government organizations highlighted the practical value of the programs and the impact of acquired knowledge on career advancement. Many emphasized that these results were made possible thanks to perseverance, discipline, and the support of instructors.
