KazNU launches new projects in the field of green energy and AI in Chinese universities
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University implements joint projects with Chinese universities of technical orientation in the field of green energy, digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
This agreement was reached at a bilateral meeting between Chairman of the Board – Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev and Vice Minister of Industry and Informatization of the People's Republic of China Zhang Yunming.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the integration of the innovative potential of KazNU and Chinese universities, the expansion of academic mobility of students and scientists, and the joint use of research infrastructure.
At the meeting, Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted that the visit of the guest of honor to KazNU is of great importance and informed about the results of the university's work with Chinese universities.

"Your visit today will allow us to define a new stage of bilateral relations and explore promising areas of mutually beneficial cooperation. KazNU considers Chinese universities as very important partners. The largest Confucius Institute in Kazakhstan and the Department of Chinese Studies are successfully operating in the educational institution. Here, young people not only learn Chinese, but also get acquainted with the culture and civilization of China. KazNU specialists are implementing more than 100 scientific projects. I propose to introduce these innovative projects into production together with Chinese companies",- said the rector.

In turn, Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China, noted that the partnership is of great strategic importance and expressed his willingness to support joint projects.

"President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted during his visit to China that one of the most important initiatives is investing in education. In this context, we are ready to open a research center together with KazNU and train qualified specialists in the field of digital technologies and artificial intelligence",- Vice Minister Zhang Yunming said.

After the negotiations, a special tour was organized for the members of the delegation. The guests visited the KazNU Remote Sensing and Supercomputer Center, a branch of Northwestern Polytechnic University and a branch of ZTE, and got acquainted with the scientific infrastructure of the educational institution.
