Malaysian Professor Delivers Public Lecture at Al-Farabi KazNU

On 24 November 2025, the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a public lecture by Professor Alias bin Abdullah of the International Islamic University Malaysia — a leading specialist in architecture and environmental design.

The event was organised to strengthen international academic cooperation and to explore the relationship between culture, religion, and spatial development. In his lecture, Professor Abdullah presented urban planning models rooted in Islamic civilisation. Following the lecture, an interactive discussion with students took place on the topic “Value-Oriented Education in the Malaysian Education System.” The professor highlighted the philosophical and cultural foundations of Malaysia’s educational model and engaged with students’ questions.

The event concluded with a Q&A session and an exchange of ideas regarding future collaboration between the two universities.
