Engineering training will be enhanced

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Board, First Vice–Rector Yerkin Duisenov and a delegation from Harbin Engineering University (HEU, China). The visit is aimed at developing international scientific and educational cooperation and discussing new forms of partnership.

Welcoming the honored guests, the first Vice-rector informed them about the main activities of the university, focusing on international cooperation, including joint projects and initiatives with universities in China. Yerkin Ermanovich stressed the importance of strengthening scientific and educational cooperation with leading Asian universities and stressed KazNU's readiness to expand partnership projects.

In response, Ding Xin, Deputy Head of the International Department of Harbin Engineering University, spoke about Harbin Engineering University, one of the leading engineering universities in China, which is part of the national programs "211 Project" and "Double First–Class", which are aimed at supporting the country's leading universities. HEU is widely known for its strong scientific schools in the fields of nuclear technology, information technology and engineering physics.

The parties also discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in the field of nuclear engineering and nuclear energy.

After the official part, the delegation visited the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the University, where they got acquainted with the infrastructure, educational programs and scientific developments of the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics.
