Student Lecture Series: "The Path to Independence!"

On November 25, 2025, students of the Military Department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a lecture titled "The Path to Independence" for senior students of General Education School No. 155 in the Auezov District of Almaty. The event was dedicated to the upcoming state holiday—Independence Day.

During the lecture, interactive presentations were showcased regarding the history of the formation of Kazakhstan's statehood and independence, ranging from the Kazakh Khanate to the present day. A significant portion of the lecture was devoted to Kazakhstan's contribution to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the role of the first Minister of Defense of independent Kazakhstan—Hero of the Soviet Union, Halyk Qaharmany (People's Hero), and General of the Army S.K. Nurmagambetov—in the formation of the Kazakhstani army.

The schoolchildren participated with great interest in a quiz competition regarding the major stages of our country's history.

At the conclusion of the event, School Director Niyara Nadyrova expressed her deep gratitude to the Head of the Military Department, Colonel (Reserve) O.V. Azhimov, and the entire staff of the Military Department for their close cooperation in the patriotic education of schoolchildren.
