A week that glorified the national costume
Our country is a multinational state. Representatives of many ethnic groups live peacefully in Kazakhstan. The state policy is aimed at strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between peoples. Kazakh culture plays an important role in maintaining interethnic harmony in our country.
Representatives of different ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan perfectly understand the Kazakh national traditions and identity. For example, the Kazakh national costume is of great importance for the preservation of cultural heritage and national identity. The national costume reflects the history, worldview and traditions of the people, conveying from generation to generation the values and aesthetic concepts of the Kazakh people.
A week of national costumes was held at the Faculty of philosophy and political science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The week was actively attended by 1st year students studying psychology (Russian group). During the week, they were imbued with the meaning of the national costume. For example, we received detailed information about what was the peculiarity of the clothes worn by young people and clothes for adults, how they were sewn, what kind of ornament they used. A new fact was given about the difference, changes in the clothes worn by young girls and brides. Such weeks are based on glorification and respect for the national costume. The promotion of national costumes, traditions and culture among young people strengthens friendship and understanding.
The main values of our state are respect for each other, hospitality, mutual assistance and tolerance. All this contributes to the deepening of friendship between people of different nationalities. On this day, the Kazakh language and culture United the inhabitants of the country and became a symbol of spiritual unity.
