The rector got acquainted with the new workshop

Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev got acquainted with the renovation of a new dairy production plant.

Internal construction work is currently underway here. The research center is expected to start operating in early 2026.

The new workshop will produce yogurt and Argymak cottage cheese from goat and mare's milk. The 200-square-meter center will be equipped with modern technological equipment. According to project manager Aida Kystaubayeva, the workshop is capable of producing up to 13,000 units of finished products per day.

The products developed by KazNU researchers contribute to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, normalization of the gastrointestinal tract and strengthen the immune system. The innovative project has passed full certification and received a patent.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev instructed responsible specialists to ensure high-quality construction work, as well as accelerate preparations for the opening of the center.

The rector of KazNU also inspected the territory of the university campus and personally supervised the progress of work on the restoration of paving slabs, landscaping of the areas adjacent to the academic buildings, landscaping and general improvement of infrastructure.
