«Green Chemistry and Its Principles»
The Department of Plasma Physics, Nanotechnology, and Computer Physics organized an educational seminar for students on the topic «Green Chemistry and Its Principles». The main purpose of the event was to promote environmentally safe technologies, highlight the importance of green methods in modern chemistry, and foster students’ understanding of sustainable development values. During the seminar, the 12 principles of green chemistry, methods for replacing hazardous reagents, and waste-free and energy-efficient production technologies were presented. Additionally, real-world examples were used to demonstrate the advantages of chemical processes that reduce environmental impact.
The seminar addressed several areas of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 3, 6, 7, 12, and 13. Throughout the event, students actively asked questions, shared their ideas, and engaged in in-depth discussions about the importance of green technologies for society and the environment.
