The scientific heritage of the legal scholar is analyzed
An international scientific and practical conference organized by the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure and Labor Law was held at the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
A large-scale event on the topic "Problems and prospects of development of labor relations and the social partnership system in the Republic of Kazakhstan: theoretical and practical aspects" was dedicated to the scientific legacy of Doctor of Law, Professor Koben Abzhanov.
The conference brought together leading legal scholars, practitioners, labor market specialists and young researchers interested in improving labor legislation and strengthening the social partnership system.
The international event was opened by Deputy Chairman of the Board, First Vice–Rector of KazNU Yerkin Duissenov, who conveyed congratulations to the university leadership.
The greeting noted: "The improvement of labor relations and the strengthening of the social partnership system are the basis for social stability and sustainable development of our country. During the period of transformations in the economy and the labor market, scientific analysis and professional dialogue are becoming particularly important. Professor Koben Abzhanov's contribution to the development of the science of labor law is a reliable basis for further research".
Igor Rogov, Chairman of the Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, also sent a video message to the conference participants, emphasizing the relevance of the legal regulation of labor relations.
In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Ualikhan Akhatov, drew attention to the new challenges of the labor market and the need for practical solutions along with theoretical understanding: "Changes in the world of work require new approaches aimed at improving the effectiveness of labor relations and strengthening social protection of citizens. The scientific works of Professor Koben Abzhanov have become a solid foundation for modern research in the field of labor law".
During the conference, well-known Kazakhstani and foreign legal scholars discussed new directions in the development of labor law, the specifics of labor relations in the digital economy, as well as effective models of social partnership. During the plenary and breakout sessions, issues of labor dispute settlement, employer and employee responsibility, occupational safety, culture of collective bargaining and other relevant topics were raised.
The scientific legacy of Professor Koben Abzhanov is a significant contribution to the formation and development of labor law. His ideas and concepts continue to serve as a guide for researchers and practitioners.
