Meeting with First-Year Foreign Students at the Department of Language and General Education Preparation for Foreigners

On December 4, the Head of the Department of Language and General Education Training for Foreign Students, B.M. Aitbayeva, held a meeting with active international students who were admitted to the university this year.

The purpose of the meeting was to introduce first-year students, who are beginning their academic year in a new environment, to the work of the department, help them adapt to the educational process, and listen to their first impressions, questions, and suggestions.

The students introduced themselves, shared their impressions of arriving in Kazakhstan, and spoke about their adaptation to study and daily life. They expressed interest in learning Kazakh and Russian and noted their first steps in mastering these languages.

B.M. Aitbayeva provided students with information about the department’s academic programs, types of language support, additional courses, clubs, and opportunities for academic advising. She also highlighted the support provided by the university to international students and the advantages of the campus infrastructure.

The meeting was held in a warm and informal atmosphere. The students asked questions of interest and shared their expectations for the upcoming academic period. Such open dialogue helps strengthen first-year students’ confidence and encourages their active involvement in the learning process.

The Head of the Department, B.M. Aitbayeva, wished the students successful studies and openness to new knowledge and experience, emphasizing that each of them will receive academic support.
