Rector met with the leadership of the Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan

Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev received the President of the Kazakhstan Academy of Journalism, Professor Sagimbai Kozybayev and Vice-President of the Academy, Professor Valery Zhandauletov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of improving the quality of journalism education and expanding cooperation between the university and the academy.

Zhanseit Tuimebayev dwelled on the current directions and plans of KazNU in the field of media. The Rector stressed the importance of strengthening practical knowledge for the journalism faculty at the educational institution, strengthening partnerships with media centers and professional organizations.

In turn, Professor Sagimbai Kozybayev spoke about the work of the Kazakhstan Academy of Journalism and suggested the organization of joint educational projects, workshops and trainings for young journalists. Professor Valery Zhandauletov presented his proposals for adapting to modern media processes.

The meeting was summed up by specific initiatives aimed at further developing mutually beneficial cooperation. The parties agreed to further implement joint projects, systematically exchanging knowledge and experience.
