KazNU held a patriotic event "My Kazakhstan!"

Students of the military department of KazNU visited the specialized lyceum "Arystan", where they held a patriotic lecture hall "My Kazakhstan!" in honor of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the beginning of the lecture, the lyceum students were presented with a video presentation about the history and formation of our country's leading university, the al–Farabi Kazakh National University and the university's military department.

In an interactive presentation on the main stages of the formation of statehood and independence of Kazakhstan, the main historical events were described, from the creation of the Kazakh Khanate to the present day.

During the historical quiz, two teams of lyceum students of the 10th and 11th grades competed in knowledge of the history of Kazakhstan and the Armed Forces of our country. Both lyceum teams showed deep knowledge of history and competed on equal terms. The head of the military department, reserve Colonel Oleg Azhimov, presented memorable gifts to all participants of the historical quiz – books about the history of Kazakhstan and Kazakhstani heroes.

No one was left indifferent by the second part of the lecture dedicated to Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova, whose 100th anniversary is celebrated this year. The lyceum students were shown a film about the biography, military path and feat of the legendary daughter of the Kazakh people, Alia Moldagulova. Students of the military department in the uniform of soldiers of the Great Patriotic War presented a theatrical composition "Letter to mother..."

The final stage of the event was a musical flash mob. Students of the military department performed patriotic songs.

At the end of the event, the head of the specialized lyceum "Arystan", retired Lieutenant General Murat Maikeev expressed his gratitude to the staff of the military department and students of al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Such events have become traditional within the framework of the signed memorandum of cooperation between the military Department of al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the specialized lyceum "Arystan".
