Whoever gently strokes an orphan’s head will receive a blessing on the Day of Judgment…
SDG-4 On January 12, 2025, students of Group 205 of the Faculty of Journalism - Suleimenov Meirman, Saduakas Bereke, and Togabayeva Ademi - led by their advisor Alim Assel, visited the «Perzent» Charity Children’s Home located on Altyn Orda Street in the Nauryzbay District.
The children’s home accommodates 35 underage children as well as the institution’s staff. It should be noted that on November 10 of this year, a fire broke out on the premises of the children’s home. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of this unexpected incident. The children were promptly evacuated and relocated to a safe place.
Although assistance was provided from various sources, the students of group 205 of the Department of Print and Electronic Media of the Faculty of Journalism, together with their advisor, could not remain indifferent to this tragic event. Therefore, having collected a modest amount of money, they handed it over to the head of the children’s home, Amina Khaji Azhybayeva.
Student of group 205, Saduakas Bereke, shared her impressions:
«I was happy to visit this children’s home. I was especially touched by the opportunity to show care for the orphaned children by gently stroking their heads. Amina Khaji told us that the children do not come here on their own - they are repeatedly left at the doorstep by heartless mothers who abuse alcohol.
At the end of the meeting, she blessed us for successfully completing our studies and wished us to become worthy citizens of our country. On this occasion, I encourage everyone to participate in such charitable activities as often as possible and to perform good deeds».
